II OCT & OCTA School Brought Together Ophthalmologists from Across the Country

OCT BiH – II OCT & OCTA School in Sarajevo

OCT BiH continues to grow as more ophthalmology clinics introduce modern OCT technology across the country. The II OCT & OCTA School held in Sarajevo on February 27–28, 2026 confirmed the growing importance of OCT diagnostics in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This professional educational event gathered ophthalmologists from different cities across the country. During two days of lectures, clinical discussions and case analysis, participants exchanged experiences and discussed the role of OCT and OCTA technologies in everyday clinical practice.

The program included both Basic and Advanced modules, allowing doctors with different levels of experience to deepen their understanding of OCT diagnostics.

Development of OCT BiH Technology

The development of OCT BiH technology has accelerated in recent years. More ophthalmology clinics and practices are introducing OCT systems in order to improve diagnostic accuracy and patient care.

OCT technology allows ophthalmologists to:

  • visualize retinal layers in high detail

  • detect macular diseases at an early stage

  • monitor glaucoma progression

  • analyze structural changes of the retina

Because of these advantages, OCT systems are becoming an essential diagnostic tool in modern ophthalmology practices in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Presentation of the Optopol REVO FC OCT System

During the school in Sarajevo, the Optopol REVO FC OCT with integrated fundus camera was presented as a modern diagnostic solution combining OCT imaging and fundus photography in one device.

The system provides:

  • high-resolution OCT imaging

  • integrated fundus photography

  • fast image acquisition

  • precise analysis of the macula and optic nerve

Today, Optopol is among the most widely installed OCT systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a growing number of installations across ophthalmology practices. The increasing adoption of these systems clearly demonstrates how OCT BiH technology continues to expand across the country.
